Job Description:

  • Coordinates and oversees location’s operational and manufacturing team activities to maximize efficiencies and resources ensuring company and customer service level standards are met and exceeded.
  • Full scope performance management of location’s managers, supervisors and associates including hiring, training, development, providing regular feedback, direction, delegation of duties and coaching for all direct reports and location associates establishing a performance driven location team. 
  • Develops, coordinates and executes budgets and operational strategies with Market Manager, Market Sales Manager and Operations team. 
  • Regularly reviews duties, workload assignments and responsibilities with direct reports and associates. Realigns duties and responsibilities to adjust to workflow and business demands. 
  • Monitors and regularly reviews inventory quantities; coordinating with sales and Inventory Control Specialist to balancing optimal inventory turn times, maximization of sales efforts and controlling costs. 
  • Implements and aligns market strategies with location specific operational, profitability and sales goals and strategies. 
  • Ensures  expectations of productivity, operational excellence and customer service level standards are implemented and met ensuring On-Time and In-Full standards are achieved. 
  • Acting Safety Officer for the location coordinating safety efforts with location’s Safety Coordinator. 
  • Accountable for providing a safe work environment, regularly performs safety audits, actively identifying safety issues and aligning safety resources to eliminate and effectively minimize safety hazards. 
  • Frequently compiles and reviews standard reports; analyzing production reports, labor costs, employee attendance reports, departmental expenses, quality assurance reports and On- Time/ In-Full reports. Identifies and adjusts location strategies and cost saving measures to optimize profitability. 
  • Reviews location performance results facilitating daily communications meetings, noting successes, overall standings and improvement plans with direct reports and location associates. 
  • Actively coach OSR’s in full scope sales management, sales development tactics and marketing plan execution.    
  • Engage in regular one on one portfolio and development reviews with sales team members to ensure sales growth and effective performance management. 
  • Ensure company and market-wide standards and expectations of prospecting call, customer appointment setting, sales presentations, proposals and customer follow-through are met by each OSR assigned in the market. 
  • Coordinates feedback into action items and plan course of actions.  
  • Monitors, coordinates and administers machine maintenance to ensure proper and safe operations, optimal forklift and truck performance and fully protecting company assets.
  • Acting location point of contact for customer service issues and concerns. Identifies and implements appropriate corrective actions and next steps.
  • Regularly provides market intelligence and feedback; including team and individual performance, pricing, competition and market developments to Market Leadership team. 
  • Secures, trains and develops associate talent pool to ensure successful retention and promotional standards. Develops high functioning partnership with Market Manager, Market Sales Managers, market peer Location Managers as well as all Stock operations support leaders and vendors. 
  • Facilitates strong communication through daily location meetings, monthly location meetings and participation in Market-level Sales Meetings. 
  • Maintains open communication with all levels regarding location challenges, solutions and business impacts. Manages expense budget to ensure successful compliance for location budget demands.
  • Facilitates AR and collection activities actively participating in account review and providing necessary location insight and support. 

Requirements:

  • Business, sales/ marketing, construction or a related discipline or the equivalent in experience. 
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a related industry or 3 years of management experience in an accounting or sales environment supervising up to 25 associates.  
  • Must be able to meet established sales budget.  
  • Knowledge of all aspects of store operations, purchasing, personnel management, training, analysis, customer relations, and planning.  
  • Computer literate and be able to track sales, cost and deliveries
